Day 1: Arrival & First Jungle Adventures

3. Visit Fundo Pedrito (Wildlife Sightings)
   Stop at Fundo Pedrito, where you’ll spot caimans, turtles, pink river dolphins, and colorful birds in their natural habitat.

4. Visit Zoológico El Encanto – Animal Rescue Center
   Meet monkeys and other rescued animals, and learn about local efforts to rehabilitate wildlife in the Amazon.

5. Rum Tasting
   Sample traditional jungle spirits and enjoy a taste of local culture with an Amazonian rum tasting experience.

6. Birding Jungle Walk
   Take a guided jungle walk focused on birdwatching—keep an eye out for antbirds, manakins, and parakeets as you explore the forest.

7. Boat Ride to Lodge

Day 2: Cultural Immersion & River Birds

   Start the day early with a serene boat ride, spotting parrots, toucans, jacamars, and other vibrant birds as the jungle awakens.

2. Breakfast
   Return to the lodge for a hearty breakfast to fuel your day.

3. Visit Yagua Amazonian Tribe
   Connect with the Yagua people through a blowgun demo, traditional dance, and handcrafted art, learning about their harmony with the jungle.

4. Piranha Fishing Expedition
   Enjoy a thrilling fishing trip to catch piranhas while listening for bird calls echoing from the riverbanks.

5. Lunch
   Enjoy a delicious lunch with regional Amazonian flavors.

6. Yanayacu Timicuro Village – Cultural & Medicinal Plants Tour
   Explore village life and discover how locals use medicinal plants—spot hummingbirds and tanagers along the trails.

7. Dinner & Nocturnal Birding Walk

Day 3: Monkey Island & Observation Tower Birding

1. Yanayacu & Amazon Rivers – Dolphin & Bird Watching
   Cruise the rivers watching for pink dolphins and riverside bird species like horned screamers and raptors.

2. Visit Monkey Island
   Explore a sanctuary for rescued monkeys, while keeping an eye out for oropendolas and canopy birds overhead.

3. Boat Ride to Observation Tower & Canoe Birding Adventure

4. Camping at Jungle Tambo – Mirador Palo Alto (Optional)

Day 4: Immersive Jungle Birding

1. Breakfast
   Wake to the calls of tinamous and parrots, and enjoy a hearty breakfast in the heart of the jungle.

2. Rainforest Walk or Jungle Boat Ride – Birding Focus
   Depending on water levels, hike or boat with your guide in search of toucans, trogons, antshrikes, and more.

3. Morning Views from Observation Tower
   Return to the tower for early morning birding and a wide-angle view of parrots, raptors, and woodpeckers.

4. Canoe Ride Through Jungle Overgrowth
   Glide through overgrown waterways, watching for sunbitterns, jacanas, and tree-creeping woodcreepers.

5. Boat Ride Along Amazon & Yanayacu Rivers

Day 5: Historical Exploration & Birding En Route

1. Breakfast
   Fuel up with a jungle breakfast before your cultural expedition.

2. Expedition to Indiana and Mazan Districts
   Visit these historic districts and observe urban-adapted bird species as you explore community life and local traditions.

3. Walk Through Districts & Interact with Locals
   Meet locals, learn about their customs, and spot swifts and swallows flying between rooftops and riversides.

4. Lunch (Not Included)
   Enjoy lunch at a local spot of your choosing.

5. Boat Ride Back to Brisa Tropical Lodge – Dolphin & Bird Watching
   Watch for river dolphins and birds along the way, including black-collared hawks and sandpipers.

6. Free Time
   Relax at the lodge or do some casual birdwatching from the deck or hammock.

7. Dinner
   End the day with a traditional dinner at the lodge.

8. Guided Night Walk – Owls & Nocturnal Sounds
   Take a final guided night walk through the jungle, looking for owls and listening to the calls of frogs and night insects.

9. Overnight at Brisa Tropical Lodge

Day 6: Final Birding & Farewell to the Amazon

   Begin your last day with a final birdwatching boat ride—look for parrots, monkeys, river otters, and more in the soft morning light.

2. Breakfast
   Return for a filling breakfast at the lodge.

3. Final Jungle Birding Excursion
   Take one last guided walk or canoe ride for more bird sightings, soaking in the beauty and calm of the forest.

4. Free Time
   Pack, rest, or spend time in a hammock enjoying the surrounding bird calls.

5. Yanayacu River Cruise – Farewell Birding
   A peaceful river cruise with a final opportunity to spot your favorite Amazonian birds.

6. Amazon River Boat Ride Back to Iquitos
   Head back to Iquitos, watching for birds and dolphins on the expansive river.

7. Arrive in Iquitos (~4–5 PM)
   Arrive back in the city, bringing your unforgettable birding adventure to a close.

8. Transport to Airport/Hotel
